AIDA is a Carnival Corp subsidiary aimed almost exclusively at the German-speaking market. The brand is instantly recognizable from the painted red lips and blue eyes on the bow of every ship.
The onboard experience is "club-style" โ buffet-heavy with food courts replacing traditional main dining rooms, casual all-day dress, and a strong emphasis on sport and music. Almost everything onboard is in German, and the line is rarely a good fit for non-German speakers, though it does run an English-speaking guest programme on some sailings.
